Do You Need a Roor Bong?

Wednesday, 02 December 2015

Bongs have been around a long while, and that time has let the bong industry grow in size and talent. As a result, there are quite a few worthy bong manufacturers out there making beautiful, functional, high quality glass for smokers all over the world. In the bong world, one company has really made a splash with their dedication to high quality glass and expert execution. That company is Roor, a name known by pretty much any smoker who collects glass for a few reasons. The first is that they make great bongs. The skill of their glass blowers is amazing and it shows in every piece they sell. The second is that Roor bongs are insanely expensive. The price of most of their glass sits in the neighborhood of the high hundreds to low thousands, and that’s just what we’d consider the “affordable” section of their glass. Regardless of price, many might feel the need to add one of their pieces to their collection, but that raises an important question – do you need a Roor bong? We’ve come up with a few questions you should ask yourself to help you really figure out if you need to add one of their pieces to your collection to make it complete.

1) Is it because you want an amazing quality bong?

For sure, Roor bongs are of some of the highest quality out there. If you’re looking for a bong with amazing quality, Roor is one stop on your research journey you won’t want to pass up, but it shouldn’t be the only one. There are some really great quality glass producers out there doing amazing work as well like Hoss Glass or Grav Labs. You should take a look at their inventory to get an idea as to what makes a bong high quality to you. There are many cases where you don’t need over $1000 worth of quality where $100 or $200 worth will do just fine.

2) Is it for a certain type of percolator/diffuser?

Are you looking to Roor for a bong with a specific type of percolator? This is an important question to answer. If you only want a bong form them because you saw one with a certain type of percolator that you want to add to your collection, there are likely a great many bongs out there with that kind of percolator that can do the same job for much cheaper. If this is the reason, you should open up a new tab in your browser and google the percolator you’re looking for and see what’s out there. You’ll probably find something that meets your needs for a better price.

3) Do you have more than $1000 you can stand to lose?

If you don’t, this is where the buck stops (pun intended). This bong isn’t going to make you any money, it isn’t going to save you much money and in the end, it is still glass, so through broken pieces it might end up costing you more. The not so modest price you paid for it means you’re going to need to be super careful when you use it, or not use it much if at all. That’s fine if you want it as a show piece, but a bong is a bong and not a vase for a reason.

In the end, it’s all about the quality. Roor’s bongs are of amazing quality, and they look fantastic. Their price tag means you’ll have to be super brave to buy and use one, or maybe just rich. Roor bongs are glass pieces that lean more on the side of art than function because of the skill used in making them and the price associated with owning one. They’re great bongs to own if you can justify spending the money on them, otherwise it would be a good idea to shop around and spend wisely to satisfy your need for a new bong.
